The Backend

All changes to your homepage are done via the backend. To access the backend, append the prefix /admin to the URL of your website: http://domain.com/admin. If you are asked for login details, just provide the user name and password you have chosen for the Administrator during the installation process. The backend area is shown in the figure below.

There are two navigation panels. A navigation menu (red border) is placed at the top of the backend area. A second navigation panel is provided below (green border). A click on the symbols or the text links highlighted in blue redirects you to the individual functions.

A brief overview of the most important functions is provided in the table below.

Pages (Seiten) Pages
Provides functions to add new pages or to modify/delete existing ones.
Media (Medien) Media
Provides functions to upload files (e.g. images, PDF documents ...) which can be embedded or linked to your content pages.
Preferences (Einstellungen) Preferences
Allows you to change your personal settings like email address, password or to set your preferred language displayed in the backend.
 Help (Hilfe) Help
Link to the official Website Baker Project site (Forum, Add-Ons...)
 Access (Benutzerverwaltung) Access
Provides functions to manage users and to change the access rights of users/groups in the backend.
 Add-ons (Erweiterungen) Add-ons
Provides functions to install and uninstall Add-Ons and to gather information about installed Add-Ons (like version, author...).
 Settings (Optionen) Settings
Provides functions to change the global Website Baker settings. This area should be limited to adminstrators only.
 View (Ansicht) View
Opens a new browser window to view and control the appearance of the pages in the frontend.
